These bunk beds are pretty heavy duty in my opinion except for the steps. Not sure I trust those completely. I did have a couple issues. 1. The back gaurd at the top of the steps did not line up with the screw holes. I'm going to cut it down just enough so it lines up. 2. The bottom small drawer insert was not the correct size at all so I can't currently use that. Hoping they send me a replacement.3. Also with that small drawer it doesn't work well with carpet. There's no play at the bottom to pull it out. They could of designed it with carpet in mind. I have left up and pull to get it out. But let me tell you... I never would of thought it was going to take me 8 hours to put this thing together. Bad direction really. Hard to tell what way some pieces should face along with some not having labels. It's a very tedious and longgggg process. Be prepared for this to take up your entire day.
